UltraCell Strengthens Its Technical Team
With Appointment of Bill Hulstrunk as Technical Manager

November 1, 2015, Newtonville, MA – UltraCell Insulation LLC, an emerging technology leader in the cellulose insulation industry, is proud to welcome industry veteran Bill Hulstrunk as the Company’s Technical Manager.  Hulstrunk will provide technical support and training to installers, builders, architects, and resellers, and will also provide technical guidance, and serve as a conduit for customer feedback, to the Company’s quality assurance organization. Hulstrunk is a well-known and well-respected expert in cellulose insulation.  He served as Technical Manager for National Fiber prior to joining UltraCell, and served on the Board of Directors of the Cellulose Insulation Manufacturers Association from 2013 – 2015.

Hulstrunk has more than 20 years of experience in building science, weatherization, and energy conservation, and is a popular speaker and trainer in the cellulose insulation installer community.  He brings deep knowledge and skills relating to the specification and installation of cellulose insulation for new construction and retrofits, for advanced building diagnostics, for thermography, for blower door and pressure differential techniques, for inspections, testing, and compliance, and for sizing and cost-benefit analysis.

“We are very happy to have brought Bill Hulstrunk on board as our Technical Manager,” said Jon Strimling, CEO and co-founder of UltraCell.  “We will be coming to market with a very high-quality product, and Bill is well-respected in the industry for providing very high-quality customer support.  A great product with great support is what it will take for UltraCell to earn a leadership position in the industry.”

UltraCell Insulation LLC is launching a breakthrough technology for the production of an advanced form of cellulose insulation and will begin shipping UltraCell from its plant in Buffalo, NY in early 2017.  Founded in January 2013, UltraCell employs a patented process to blend fiber from pulped recycled cardboard with fiber from other clean paper feedstocks, which results in production of an extraordinarily pure and clean cellulose insulation. UltraCell partnered with the Greenpac Mill in Niagara Falls to obtain clean recycled fiber from corrugated cardboard to feed its manufacturing process. Greenpac is North America’s largest and cleanest pulper of recycled cardboard, and also gives UltraCell the benefit of its enormous buying power in paper commodity markets.
